Time for Jesus Online
Time for Jesus was filmed by choir members in their own homes during the January/February lockdown of 2021 and then posted online during Holy Week.
The idea was planted by a choir member who said they used the songs as daily lockdown meditations during the previous year's Easter season. Below is a suggested timetable for watching the songs, but obviously you can adapt it to suit your own needs. Our prayer is that it may be a blessing to you and that the music and especially the story bring you hope and joy!

Palm SundayJesus enters Jerusalem to shouts of Hosanna!
"Rejoice, people of Jerusalem. Shout for joy, people of Jerusalem. Your King is coming to you. he does what is right, and he saves. He is gentle and riding on a donkey. He is on the colt of a donkey" Zechariah 9 v 9 If you were in the crowd, shouting praises to God, what would you love to shout about? |

"Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long." Psalm 25 v4-5 What will you place in God's hands today? |

TuesdayThe people come to Jesus.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11 28-30 Come to Him. Rest. Lay your worries before him. |

WednesdayWhilst Jesus preaches, others plot his downfall.
"The leading priests and teachers of the law were trying to find a way to kill Jesus." Luke 22 v 2 Jesus wasn't surprised or worried by the enemies he had. He had all power, all control and all goodness. How can that help us today? |

Thursday
Following a last meal with his disciples, Jesus prays in the garden. Peter denies Jesus.
"Then Jesus went about a stone's throw away from them. He knelt down and prayed, " Father, it it is what you want, then let me not have this cup of suffereing. But do what you want, not what I want."
Luke 22 v 39-42
We don't need to be as brave or as powerful as Jesus. When you feel you've let yourself down, what would you love to remember or say to yourself or to Jesus?

Good Friday
The people turn against Jesus. He is put on trial and condemned to death.
"I give you my life.
Save me, lord, God of truth."
Psalm 31 v 5
Thank God that Jesus did trust his heavenly Father with his life. Pray that we will learn to do the same.

Easter Sunday
Jesus is risen! He is risen indeed! Hallelujah!
"Why seek you the living among the dead? ... Jesus is not here. He has risen from death!"
Luke 24 v 1- 8
The greatest gift in history... What do you want to thank God for? What is there that is new, or surprising, or life changing?
