“Led by a few really talented singers, we have lots of fun rehearsing, gradually pick up some musical skills, and when it all comes together in a concert – wow! – that’s like a new dimension!”
Are there people like me in your choir?
Probably. Our youngest at the moment is 14 and our oldest is rumoured to be over 90! Most members, but not all, come from churches in Hertfordshire and North London. We have people from many different backgrounds and fellowships - Anglicans, Catholics, Baptists, Methodists, United Reformed Church and others - and members who are not part of a church too. We begin and end each rehearsal with prayer.
Is there a chance to socialise and get to know people?
Absolutely. Every rehearsal ends with refreshments - tea/coffee/juice etc along with biscuits and the odd cake when its someone's birthday!
If I come along once, do I have to commit?
No. We do get excited when new people come through the door (sorry about that) but there is no obligation to join. You can come for a taster anytime.

"The LMC is more than just a choir - it's a family, where everyone cares. "
Do I have to be there every week?
No. We understand that everyone has busy lives and other commitments. We hope you can come along as often as possible. If we are working towards a performances or presentation, then there is an expectation that you have been to enough rehearsals to know what you're doing!
Okay, so what should I do now?
We'd be happy to welcome you to a Friday rehearsal anytime. You might want to speak to someone first to check we are meeting on the day you want to come. Contact details are below.
If you have any questions not covered here, please get in touch and we'll do our best to answer them.

"All I can say is that I am hanging on to LMC because of the warm fellowship and friendship laced with God’s Grace."
A little bit of history...
We have been going for 23 years. We have led worship at many churches in North London, presented Christian musicals, Broadway style concerts, community events, had parties and eaten a lot of quiche. We also love singing a wide range of music in many styles. We are happy to welcome anyone with enthusiasm and a need to smile, sing and worship.
If you want to sing Verdi's Requiem or Bach's Mass in B Minor then we're probably not what you're looking for. However, we like to keep our repetoire varied. As a choir we have premiered a number of original and successful home grown musicals, written by our musical director Paul Wardrop-Day. These musicals have toured many churches across London and the South East, as well as further afield, and are still going strong, moving audiences and sharing the message of Jesus.
